Each Friday after work from 6 - 8 PM, community members and their friends, both men and women are invited to drop by the Imperial bar and Billiards 241 Front St., downtown Juneau to unwind from the work week. It is a great way to meet friends. If you are over 21, you are invited to join us. Please try it out this Friday, or another Friday in the future. Come on out, and make a new friend today!

In celebration of Gay Pride month, one of our local volunteers is leading a Gay Men's Hike. Our friend Larry W. will lead a hike up West Glacier Trail to the glacier. We'll meet at the trailhead next to Skater's Cabin at 9:45am and depart promptly at 10:00am. If it's pouring down rain then the group will decide what to do. The round trip should take about 6 hours with an hour break at the glacier. It is mostly a moderate hike with a little bit of scrambling up some rock, but not technical. Please dress for the weather, wear appropriate foot wear and clothing. Bring a day pack with your own drinking water, and trail or energy snacks, and a sandwich would be advised.

Mark your calendar for the combined 2009 Gay Pride Picnic Celebration at Skater's Cabin! 2-7 PM. Sponsered by SEAGLA, PFLAG, Alaskans Together, GSA, and the Imperial Court of Alaska. Every one is invited to attend. Bring side dish to pass, and SEAGLA will provide burgers and some beverages. If you can bring a grill or can volunteer something else that would be helpful.
